The Bead Chick – Julene Lippincott-Warren

 

Julene Lippincott-Warren brings a unique design eye to her love for the fashion industry. Her jewelry designs combine an eclectic mix of “country girl” with “urban romance”. Liberal use of sterling and Thai silver coupled with natural stones and unique textures gives her creations a rustic yet refined look. The Bead Chick brings you jewelry that can best be described as “earthy urban” influenced by her loves of yoga, rural living and an urban influence. 

 

Julene grew up with a love for fashion, design and arts and crafts. She started sewing at the age of 8 through participation in 4-H, with her mother Janice Lippincott as her 4-H leader. Today, Janice is finding success in her own right by designing and sewing Artistic Quilts that are consistently receiving critical acclaim.

 

Julene’s career in fashion started during her teen years, working at a local women’s clothing boutique. After attending fashion and interior design school in Dallas she completed the circle by returning home to buy the store where she worked during her high school years. Julene successfully operated the B & C Shop in Blair, NE for over 15 years before closing the store to stay home to raise her two young sons. 

 

Julene’s love of fashion called her back not long after. Within the year, she and close friend Cathy Dillon-Peetz started The Bead Chicks. The Bead Chicks allowed them to stay at home with family and yet design, produce and sell jewelry and crafted accessories. Julene and Cathy shared a design commonality, a love for the friendships they created through their work and the ability to raise a family from home and yet remain productive. The Bead Chick was born with Cathy’s departure and thus the retirement of The Bead Chicks.
